Seven contestants were revealed during the first batch and yesterday American Idol released all the 24 contestants.
Below is the full list of the contestants for American Idol Season 9.

American Idol Season 9 is underway and the first batch of the 24 semi-finalist was already revealed. Below are the first contestants on the list:
Aaron Kelly - 16 yrs old from Sonestown, PA.
Casey James - 27 yrs old from Fort Worth, TX.
Didi Benami - 23 yrs old from Hollywood, CA.
Katelyn Epperly - 19 yrs old from West Des Moines, IA.
Lee Dewyze - 23 yrs old from Mount Prospect, IL.
Michael Lynche - 26 yrs old from Astoria, NY.
Todrick Hall - 24 yrs old from Arlington, TX.

Anoop is one of my favorite finalist in American Idol.
He is very consistent with his singing and a style that is simple yet he has a very powerfull voice.
Unfortunately last Wednesday, as Ryan Seacrest always saying "America's Voted - You are out...Anoop Desai!" there you go Anoop was eliminated together with Lil Rounds after getting the lowest number of viewer votes.
I feel upset about it but still hoping to see him in the industry.
David Cook has just one American Idol Season 7 and releasing an album is a few months away but he has already dominated charts with his American Idol performances.
David now ranks number 1 in iTunes, has six singles in the Top 50 Billboard Magazine's hot 100 list.

Aside from that, his version of Mariah Carey's Always Be My Baby is frequently played over the radio.
Jason Castro was being perceived as someone who smokes weed based on a question he received during the Larry King show.
David has this to say of Jason: "I actually lived with Castro for a while. And I can promose you that representation of him is completely false."

An article at LATimes clearly suggests that David Archuleta is going to win the war against David Cook in the long run because he is romantic compared to rocket David Cook. The votes in American Idol decided upon that and David Cook is just going to pile up millions of fans worldwide. Think of a cross between Bon Jovi and Bono.
