The Michigan attorney general's office is reviewing 10 complaints from consumers related to Hannah Montana ticket sales, though it can't comment on the investigation, according to spokesman Matt Frendewey.

It's gotten so bad, even ticket scalpers are grousing.

"I've never seen this as far as availability for any show," complained Brian Posey, owner of The Ticket Machine, an East Lansing online broker. "It's never been that hard to get tickets for us. You don't see seats anywhere."

Parents shouldn't blame brokers for snapping up loads of tickets, Posey said.

"Tickets are so hard to get that we didn't get a whole lot," said Posey, whose Web site, theticketmachine.com, offered only 28 sets of tickets a few days ago, ranging in price from $222 to $923 each. That pales in comparison to the hundreds of tickets he had available for last year's hot tour by rocker Bob Seger.

Many Hannah Montana tickets -- more than 4,000 of the 11,500 or so at Van Andel -- were sold exclusively through her fan club, with the rest selling out in minutes at public sales through Ticketmaster. The Van Andel Arena show sold out in eight minutes, the third-fastest sellout in arena history.

Although brokers have tried to buy tickets from fan club members and others, Posey said many simply aren't selling. They're holding onto their seats because their kids want to go to the show.

"The tickets were just never out there for us," Posey said. "The stuff we did get we had to pay so much to get."
