Liveblogging Michael Jackson memorial service

I am a big Michael Jackson fan and in my own simple way, I am blogging his memorial service to pay tribute and remember him

for his magic and the unmatched level of entertainment he has shared.

The image below is the program guide for Michael Jackson’s memorial service.

Michael Jackson

Below is the Michael Jackson memorial service:

Michael Jackson is leaving the stadium… This is so sad, we are going to miss you Michael Jackson, we love you.

Family Members speech, the immediate family is now giving their farewell speech. Paris Jackson was the last one to give a speech.

Andrew Gumbel (12.31pm) (8.31pm): Everything was quiet, “Michael we love you!” or “See you in heaven”.

Heal the World (12.29pm) was sang a lot of people.

Kenny Ortega (12.24pm): director of the 02 Centre concerts that Jackson never gave, introduces a sequence he says was prepared for those concerts — it’s We Are The World which was sang by a lot of personalities and celebrities.

Shaheen Jafargholi (12.18pm) sings a song for Michael, “Who’s Lovin’”.

Smokey Robinson (12.12pm): Jackson 5 singing ’s Who’s Loving You was first shown to reminisce the talent of 10-year old Michael. Robinson says, that he cannot believe Michael was just ten years old and he needed to see his birth certificate to make sure.

Texan congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (11.58am): She defends Michael Jackson, “We understand laws, and we know that people are innocent until proven otherwise. That is what the Constitution stands for.” Applause. The rest of her speech focuses on Jackson-as-humanitarian and finishes off that Michael would be remembered forever and ever.

Martin Luther King III and Bernice King (11.53am): they talk about the importance of stewarding you talents and doing your job as well as you can, whether you’re an artist or a street sweeper. “On June 25, because he was the best, I believe heaven and earth did pause to say, ‘here lived a great entertainer, who did his job well,’” he says, before his sister takes up an even more religious theme. “At the end of the day, it is only God’s love that will sustain you and move you to a higher ground, far above the noise of life…”

Jermaine Jackson (11.49am) sings “Smile”, Michael Jackson’s favorite song.

Brooke Shields (11.40am) recalls their friendship how they competed on how they can make the other person

laugh. In the outside world, he was known as a genius. For people who were lucky to know him personally he was caring, fun,

pure. Brooke says that to everyone he was a king, but he felt she was a prince. What moves me so deeply about this prince, is

his loyalty to a flower, the image of the rose shining with him like a lamp even when he is asleep…” Michael’s favorite

song is from Charlie Chaplin called “Smile”, one of the lyrics says “Smile till you heart is aching.”

the guiness book of records as the celebrity that supported most of the number of charities. Magic says that Michael made him

a better basketball player as he was inspired on the way Michael has set the bar of standard. Magic also recalls that he was

surprised when MJ ordered a bucket of Kentucky Fried chicken which means that Michael Jackson is still a normal person with extra ordinary talent.

Stevie Wonder (11.08am) sang a tribute and farewell song for him.

Berry Gordon (10.54am) from Motown gave a speech for Michael and he has recalled how Michael was ahead of

his time and how he blasted the stage during a Motown live concert when he unveiled his moonwalk. Berry says that from the

time he made the moonwalk he never returned back. Berry says that Michael as the King of Pop is falling short, because he

should be labeled as the “greatest entertainer that ever lived”.
