The celebration in Kansas City after David Cook was declared the winner in season 7 of American Idol was described to be better than New Year’s Eve celebration. As reported at Nebraska.tv:
Hundreds gathered in downtown Kansas City’s Power and Light District and at other venues in the region to watch the finale on huge TV screens. Fans held signs that read “David Cook Rocks!” and other words of support.
David Cook Fan Club President Angela Hart said of the celebration—“It’s just like New Year’s Eve, only better!”
