Hilary Duff is in Orlando for the backpack program of helping feed people.

The students of the Grand Avenue Primary Learning Center got a treat today when pop star Hilary Duff dropped by to help stuff backpacks with food for the Blessings in a Backpack program.

Duff has been working with the program for the past five years traveling around the country visiting different schools. The children get backpacks stuffed with nutritional food on Fridays, and on Mondays come back to school focused and ready to learn.

"Not enough young people are out there trying to make a difference and we need to be more compassionate towards others and help a neighbor," Duff said.

The school was adorned in colorful welcome banners bearing Duff's name and Duff's music played in the background while the food was passed out to the students.
