I wrote about the article that questions David Cook winning American Idol. This article says the opposite and thinks David Cook is the right call. DavidCookFansite.com has no doubt he is the American Idol winner.

I had a great time at the "American Idol" finale party hosted by Hot-FM (105.3) at Celebration Cinema South, where we watched on the big screen as David Cook was crowned Season 7 winner over David Archuleta.

You have to agree, Cook over Archuleta makes a lot of sense. I still say -- when it's all said and done -- Cook and former contestant Michael Johns will have the longest-lasting careers of the entire cast.

But you never know. I had forgotten about Matthew Rogers (Season 3), and there he was last night, hosting the Archuleta party in Utah and interviewing Archie's grandpa.

At the Hot-FM finale party (hosted by Todd Chance) in Grand Rapids, it was so much fun to meet up with local fans, including Roberta Swidersky, who has contributed to the "Going Gonzo" blog (along with Drew Willard) the past two seasons.
