The reality tv show “American Idol Season 8” is now aired worlwide. Starts January this year, the reality program have been to Phoenix, AZ and Kansas City to look for the next American Idol.
So for the idols out there watch out for the remaining cities:

Who’s dating who? David Cook has caught Kimberly Caldwell and it seems they are in the early stages of dating.
In an excerpt: The newly crowned “Idol” winner said Tuesday on “Live With Regis and Kelly” that he recently had a dinner date with former “Idol” contestant Kimberly Caldwell.
Cook, 25, said he met Caldwell through the show. When asked if he had a good time, Cook replied: “I did. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”

David now ranks number 1 in iTunes, has six singles in the Top 50 Billboard Magazine’s hot 100 list.

Jason Castro was being perceived as someone who smokes weed based on a question he received during the Larry King show.

Jordin Sparks has sold 500,000 copies of her debut album and she hasn’t gotten an 8-hour sleep. What more with David Cook who I expect to sell millions on a debut album.

An article at LATimes clearly suggests that David Archuleta is going to win the war against David Cook in the long run because he is romantic compared to rocket David Cook. The votes in American Idol decided upon that and David Cook is just going to pile up millions of fans worldwide. Think of a cross between Bon Jovi and Bono.

Entertainment Weekly had a Q&A with David Cook and one of his replies summed up his style and rationale during the competition wherein he didn’t sing his famous Billie Jean and opted for a more risky unknown song.
As you progressed in the competition, was there a strategy?Yes and no. I had one, in that I wanted to show America who I was gonna be as an artist once this was over, and I feel like I succeeded. I don’t feel I compromised who I was at any point. But, I don’t know, to be yourself isn’t really a strategy, I just did it.
This just explains how he carried his finale and chose the songs that defined him not so much on what was safe to perform.
