Blake Lively says that America Ferrera was the one who convinced and helped her through the transition of moving to New York for Gossip Girl show.

She's a mother to me," the 20-year-old told OK! at the Viva La Cure event held at NYCs Sea Grill Restaurant on October 17. "When I decided I was going to move to New York for the show, she sat down with me. I knew I wanted to live on the West Side, and she said, 'No, you need to live on the East Side because of this, this and this.' She makes lists of pros and cons about why I shouldn't get another dog. She's like 'This is why you shouldn't get one.' America's always very nurturing with me, which I appreciate very much. She's awesome!"
