This was a full-packed, fast paced episode premiere for NBCs Bionic Woman. It was full-packed because episode 1 came loaded answering so many "How" questions for the viewer. It was fast paced because the story was narrated in a blistering fast forward motion trying to cover as much ground as possible to set the pace and tone for succeeding episodes.

Bionic Woman kicked off the series by introducing pregnant bartender Jamie Sommers played by Michelle Ryan being hit by the evil bionic woman driving a truck as she and her professor/scientist boyfriend was driving away from the restaurant. This was quickly followed by a surgery operated upon by his uninjured boyfriend replacing her arms, legs and eyes. That is already a fast-paced story and we have not yet even mentioned that Jamie Sommers argued with her sister in the opening minutes of the series.

I find this series being associated with Jason Bourne, someone funded and molded by the government to develop super human capabilities for the government's use. Unfortunately, I see Jamie Sommers resisting the government to uphold her philosophies. Bionic Woman could mature into complex series with Jamie Sommers becoming an assasin, CIA operative, Commando, and other things.

This should be an interesting series to follow for the months to come.
